at night you kissed
 the tears from my eyelids 

 
in the dark you said,  

 now you’re enduring another realm 



 now in my bed i cover my eyes  
 with my hands  
 and my breaths all sound like sighs 


 i fall asleep and wake up 
 in the exact same position, as if  
 no time has passed at all
